Easy-Stow Sawhorses
These sturdy steel horses adjust quickly for any task or job site.
Everybody needs sawhorses. Wooden sawhorses, although sturdy, take up too much space in my cramped tool trailer, and every folding plastic sawhorse I’ve tried couldn’t hold up to the abuse of an active job site. Kobalt’s 42-in.-long folding sawhorses seem to have solved that problem. First, because they’re steel, they’re more rigid than their plastic counterparts. The legs, which have nonmarring plastic feet, are independently adjustable from 22 in. to 32 in., making them a good fit for a variety of tasks and for setting up on uneven terrain. Brackets at each end accept 2x4s to create a flat table with a sheet of plywood. The horses are rated to hold 800 lb. each, and when folded up they are smaller than any horses I’ve tried. The only downside is that the legs have to be folded in a certain order or they won’t stow completely in the body. I found this annoying at first, but I got used to it after a few days.
